I am honored to be the Principal of Tellico Plains Junior High School. I have been the principal at this incredible school for the past eight years. The faculty and staff are wonderful to work with and always put the needs of the students first in their educational decisions. I have spent my entire career working for Monroe County Schools. I am still passionate, excited and love my job. I believe all students can learn and should feel success. In my past twenty-eight years in education, I have seen many things come and go, but the love that this school system has for their students has never wavered.
I have three sisters and one brother. Two of my sisters live in Tellico and are teachers. My youngest sister lives in Oak Ridge, while my brother lives in Maryland. I live in Tellico Plains with my husband of thirty years. We have three amazing children that have made my life complete. My son, Blake Hunt is twenty-five years old and works for Sea Ray. Karsen Hunt is a freshman in college at Bryan College. Savana Hunt is in tenth grade and goes to Tellico Plains High School. I enjoy spending all my extra time with family. They are the reasons I have the strength to give so much to my students and school.
