About Me
Hello! I am currently the 7th and 8th grade science teacher at TPJHS... and I am loving every minute of it!
I attended Tennessee Wesleyan University and earned my Bachelor's of Science in Forensic Science and I am currently working to earn my Masters in Teaching in Secondary Education: Biology. While at TWU, I was on the track and field team, the cheerleading team, and both choir and honors chorale. I have a wonderful husband, Peyton, who I have been married to for almost three years and a houseful of pets. I am an avid hiker. When not in the classroom, you can find me on a sketchy trail in the middle of no where! I am a Tellico Plains native, so it is great to be home. Once a Cub, always a Cub!
I enjoy helping students discover their potential and watching them grow both academically and personally. I fell in love with this subject in the very room I am teaching in now, 8 years ago! I have a passion for science that I hope to share as well as inspire other young minds to love this subject area as much as I do!
One of my main goals within my classroom is to help students realize that science is everywhere you go and in almost every career path. I want to provide them with a solid educational foundation to help them succeed no matter which path they decide to choose in life.
My planning period is 10:00 - 10:50. Please feel free to reach out! My email is [email protected] or you can contact me via Class Dojo!
