Mrs. Sisson - 8th Grade ELA

Welcome to TPJHS 8th Grade ELA (English Language Arts)! 

 

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself...

I am a lifelong resident of Monroe County - I live in Tellico Plains with my husband Jamie, our daughter Shelby and our son Sully, and our family attends New Providence Baptist Church.  The U.S. Military, Veterans affairs, and First Responders hold a dear place in my heart.  In my spare time, I enjoy decorating and design, reading, working with plants and flowers, and watching / listening to anything true-crime related.

 

In my classroom, we focus on becoming better readers and writers, and the relevance of why these skills are so valuable to us every day.  Each student will have an ELA student book that we use daily in class (and at home as needed), as well as our online curriculum "Study Sync" which is accessible through Clever.  The skills that students master in ELA are important to all other classes!   If you have any questions, I can be reached via email at [email protected].
