Hello! Although I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, I have been an educator in Monroe County since graduating from Maryville College in 2003. I have officially called Tennessee “home” longer than Pennsylvania. I began my teaching career at Tellico Plains Elementary School teaching 2nd grade. I taught 2nd grade for nine years before moving to 4th grade to teach ELA. In 2014, I moved over to Tellico Plains Junior High School to teach 6th grade ELA. This is my fourth year as the Assistant Principal at TPJHS, and there's no place I would rather be!! GO CUBS!
A little about me outside of school -- I have three children - Slade, Ashton, and Keegan. Slade just graduated from TPHS and is attending CSCC. Ashton is a senior and Keegan is a sophomore at TPHS.
I love spending time with my children, traveling with them, watching them play sports and volunteering with them.
I am also very passionate about Isaiah 117 House where I serve as the Program Coordinator. I do not believe there is any better way to give back to your community and use your gifts than sowing into the lives of children.
