Ms. Kerry's 5th Grade Math

Hi! I'm so excited to be a back with my TPJHS family this year! I want to welcome all the new 5th grade students to Math. I love math and my greatest goal for every student is that they love math too and that they believe they can actually do math and do it well!

"It is clear that the chief end of mathematical study must be to make the students think."
— John Wesley Young, American mathematician

When I'm not at school,  I love being with my new husband Van, my children, Holden, Rebekah, Lily and Sam, whenever I can. I am blessed to live in such a wonderful area and my family and I take full advantage of this beautiful place, we call "Home" with hiking, camping, swimming and kayaking. There is no place I would rather be or any other job I would rather have.

This is one of my favorite quotes by Rita Pierson and what I believe every child I come into contact with deserves from me .

GOOD MATHEMATICS IS NOT ABOUT HOW MANY ANSWERS YOU KNOW. IT'S ABOUT HOW YOU BEHAVE WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW.
